GRAPES: 100% Sangiovese, best selection of Sangiovese grapes from all vineyards.
PRODUCTION ZONE: Loc. Villa a Sesta, Castelnuovo Berardenga, 420m a.s.l.
HARVEST: end of September-beginning of October, when the phenolic and technological ripeness of the Sangiovese grapes is completely reached.
VINIFICATION: the must is vinified in stainless steel at a controlled temperature where alcoholic fermentation takes place with consequent maceration on the skins for about 40 days; subsequently it carries out the malolactic fermentation in cement tanks.
AGING: for 36 mesi in second passage tonneaux
ORGANOLEPCTIC NOTES: it has an intense ruby red color tending to garnet. Fruity aroma with notes of violet and red berry fruit well balanced with hints of oak and spice. It is harmonious, intense, with good structure, elegant and very pleasant overall with a sweet and soft finish with evident toasted notes.
SERVANT SUGGESTION: it matches perfectly with all red meats and with fresh and semi-aged cheeses.
